Global spend on cloud tech could reach around $150 billion over the next three years, according to Gartner, so the demand for cloud engineers’ and the potential earnings that they can make are ever-increasing. The title of cloud engineer covers a few different cloud-focused engineering roles. As cloud engineering duties require many areas of expertise, each role is focused on specialized areas. 🎯

Cloud Security Engineer

A Cloud Security engineer specializes in providing security for cloud-based digital platforms and plays an integral role in protecting an organization's data. They may also investigate, create, and recommend innovative technologies or other methods that will enhance the security of cloud-based environments. 🔒

Cloud Administrator

A Cloud Administrator manages software and hardware associated with the use of cloud-based services. The primary job responsibilities are to work in coordination with the IT department to develop and support cloud, windows or Unix infrastructure. They usually provide technical assistance on windows, cloud-based systems, and resolve operational problems. ✔️

Cloud Network Engineer

A Cloud Network Engineer manages and supports network infrastructures and connections between clients and service providers. They specialize in migrating functions and networks to private, public, and hybrid cloud infrastructures. In doing so, they give organizations the freedom and flexibility to maximize their flexibility and productivity. 📈

Cloud Automation Engineer

A Cloud Automation Engineer is similar to a Cloud Developer, but this position places an emphasis on automation, orchestration and integration. This role involves extensive knowledge of software design, process and workflows, as well as data center and cloud infrastructure. An individual in this position typically implements, optimizes and supports that infrastructure and also ensures high availability. ☁️

Cloud Product Manager

A Cloud Product Manager is responsible for the efficient performance and product planning for the cloud-based applications – product concepts and strategy documents. Their responsibilities also revolve around identifying product positioning and allowing the sales process. 💰
