Your role would be developing their iOS and Andriod apps using React Native. You will have the opportunity to lead a small team, and work closely with the VP of Engineering & Founder. The team are looking for someone who has passionate about continued development. With huge growth plans on the horizon you will receive full support in growing your team.

A day in the life

  • Write, test, and ship code for a React Native app that connects to their GraphQL API
  • Work with a team of engineers, designers, and stakeholders to plan, build, and deliver new features, bug fixes, and under-the-hood updates every sprint
  • Keep yourself and the team organized
  • Help grow the team through mentorship, coaching, and knowledge transfer
  • Coordinate with other members of the team for new releases, breaking changes, and platform upgrades
  • Work quickly and independently to make intuitive product decisions when necessary

What we are looking for:

  • Build, test, and deploy React Native apps for iOS and Android
  • Comfortable switching from JavaScript to native code when and if necessary
  • Like collaborating with other engineers and adjacent teams - sharing is caring
  • Have experience using GraphQL APIs, Apollo Client, Hasura or other GraphQL tools
  • Enjoy learning new tools and applying them strategically - their stack is always evolving
  • Enjoy a lead role which means keeping the team happy, focused, and growing

You might be perfect if you have:

  • Automated testing and CI/CD for mobile applications
  • Feature flagging systems like LaunchDarkly and auth tools like Auth0
  • React and/or Node.js experience (the other parts of their stack)
  • Communication skills that are clear, concise, and inclusive
  • Exposure to Figma to collaborate with their design team
