The conference included quality talks from 50 speakers exploring innovation happening in the Scala ecosystem, like Scala3 and growing OSS ecosystems. Within the schedule, there were also keynotes included from Adam Warski, Alexander Ioffe, Adam Fraser, Flavio Brasil, Wiem Zine Elabidine, and John De Goes.
Throughout the day we had a chance to talk to some amazing developers, speakers, and our long-time friends in the community. We understand the importance of bringing people together and the Functional Scala Conference did exactly that. It was a pleasure to be able to support such an event. Despite the world going into the remote/virtual direction, nothing beats seeing people come together and feel the sense of community.
Justin Wood, our Consultant, says “The highlight of the day was meeting one particular, awesome Scala engineer in person for the first time. They had recently let me have the pleasure of supporting them in taking the next step of their career - after a 10-year tenure with their current employer! A genuinely rewarding feeling when hearing how happy they were to have secured the new role where they can get their hands on Zio and other cool tech.”
Until the next conference👋🏻
