Title: QA/QC Engineer Lead – IoT | Hardware, Firmware & Cloud Testing | Riyadh Tech Stack: IoT (MQTT, CoAP), Embedded Systems (ARM Cortex, STM32, RTOS), Automation Tools (Robot Framework, Jenkins, Zephyr, Selenium), Cloud (AWS IoT, Azure IoT, Kubernetes, Terraform)

What You’ll Do: 

You’ll lead the QA and QC function for cutting-edge IoT products that combine connected sensors, edge devices, and cloud analytics platforms. Your team will own the entire quality lifecycle—testing everything from embedded microcontrollers and communication protocols, to real-time data flows, OTA firmware updates, and high-scale cloud environments. You'll also play a key role in setting up automated test systems that simulate thousands of live devices and ensure performance under stress conditions. Expect to be hands-on across lab validation, environmental hardware testing, and field trials in real-world industrial environments.

Requirements:

Requirements:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in QA/QC, with at least 2 years leading QA efforts in IoT systems, embedded devices, or sensor-based platforms
• Proven ability to test and validate both hardware and software components, including embedded firmware, sensors, data gateways, and cloud-based applications
• Strong experience with IoT communication protocols (e.g., MQTT, CoAP, HTTP/REST) and understanding of data flow across distributed systems
• Skilled in data testing: validating end-to-end data integrity, latency, connectivity, and loss metrics between edge devices and cloud infrastructure
• Hands-on experience with automation frameworks such as Robot Framework, Jenkins, Zephyr, Selenium, Cypress, including scripting custom validation tools for large-scale testing
• Deep knowledge of embedded systems and microcontroller platforms (e.g., ARM Cortex, STM32), including testing on RTOS-based systems under different operating conditions
• Familiar with hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) setups and environmental testing to simulate real-world usage (e.g., temperature, humidity, interference)
• Experience with OTA firmware update testing, including validation of rollback, security, and backward compatibility
• Proficient in testing cloud-based IoT platforms (e.g., AWS IoT, Azure IoT, Google Cloud IoT) and ensuring scalability and performance of high-throughput systems
• Familiar with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform) for test automation and environment management

Preferred:

Experience with AI/ML models deployed on edge devices, and testing their accuracy and performance

Background in QA for industrial or construction-focused IoT systems, including ruggedization and durability testing

Familiarity with security and compliance standards (e.g., CE, FCC, data privacy, encryption protocols) relevant to connected hardware
